"Expect More, With Les"
Now Blogging to the Boston Marathon
Have you had a chance to read ABMP President Les Sweeney's blog
at www.abmp.com/les-sweeney-blog? Fun, informative, thoughtprovoking, "Expect More, With Les" is a great read. Check in with him
now and throughout the next few months as he documents training
for the 2013 Boston Marathon. Les will run the April marathon to raise
funds for the Massage Therapy Foundation. Watch his progress with us
as he trains for this bucket-list event.
Having survived a long
and difficult cold and
flu season, it's a good
time to remember the
little things you can do
to stay healthy in your
practice, like washing
your hands properly.
Noted educator,
author, and Massage
& Bodywork columnist
Ruth Werner offers
these tips:
1. Wash hands for
20–30 seconds
in warm, running
water.
2. Use plain liquid
soap (avoid
perfumed, dyed, or
antimicrobial soaps).
3. Dry hands with a
paper towel, then
use the towel to
turn off the tap
and the lights to
avoid contaminating
hands again.
