READER FORUM KUDOS Just finished reading the January/February 2012 issue. Thanks for all the great articles on communication. When levator cramps, When extensors sting, When I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, And then I don't feel so bad. I'm a student, and one day a staff member at my school gave me a Massage & Bodywork magazine. When I thanked her, she told me that she saw great potential in me. Whenever I begin to doubt myself or lose confidence, I remember that moment and it gives me the courage to continue on. DAVID DEITZ FROM FACEBOOK Best issue ever. Read it now. #Massage & Bodywork: Jan/Feb 2012 ALLISSA HAINES FROM TWITTER A PLEA FOR ACCURACY First of all, let me say that I appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that brings these wonderful publications to us as therapists. Thank you!! Now … for my constructive criticism. :) Seeing the misuse of face cradles in photography— especially the cover—is a turn-off. It says, "These people don't seem to know much about massage if the model isn't even using the face cradle as it would normally be used." Every ad or article that I see this in loses credibility (from a therapist's perspective). It just seems careless. We don't care how good the model's makeup is that was in the shoot … our clients don't usually come in for massages after a fresh makeover. Something more realistic would be nice … it would keep my interest as a professional.
