FROM FACEBOOK I hike, kayak, and walk the beach (even in the winter). I leave technology behind. I take my camera, because I like to dabble in photography. There is nothing like a date with Mother Nature to cleanse the soul and recharge your batteries. DEE DOW Self-reiki every day, regular massage, and meditation. And when I feel like there's no time for anything, I stop, close my eyes, and take three slow, deep, diaphragmatic breaths in and out. CATHY PODD Every night I lie with my son till he falls asleep. We kiss, cuddle, and pray, and he's out like a light. It's precious and innocent. HOLLY BURNER I think about how thankful I am. I'm thankful for the opportunity to do what I do and I'm thankful for all my loyal clients and those they have referred my way. KEVIN DEIGHAN What do you see as your biggest competition? Publication Date: May/June Name one thing about your practice that you will improve this year. Publication Date: July/August Email your responses to darren@abmp.com. Your submission can be as short as you'd like and up to 250 words. Upcoming Topics I need to be alone to recharge. It's as simple as a day of listening to music I love while doing the laundry over a 2–3-hour period. I eat when I want to and definitely get some reading in, as well as some slow, gentle stretching. CHRISTINE O'BRIEN I get massage as often as I can, see two chiropractors (one who is also a kinesiologist and another who is certified in Active Release Therapy), and get dry needling. I also work out with a personal trainer and do yoga as often as possible. ARI BOYAJIAN I get up early to just soak up the quiet. I will close my eyes and think about nothing but the present moment for a while. TORI BULA Sketching! I've been a massage practitioner for 18 years. I get a massage when I can, and I try to sketch a little every day, even if it's only for five minutes. It's about the process, rather than creating an elaborate, perfect work of art. WENDI WELLS Yoga (I practice at home with a free app) and spending time outside with my horses, goats, and chickens. My horses are my happy place and never fail to help me relax and feel better about life. LAILA FOADIAN I always feel better after working on a client—their relief, contentment, and happiness flow around me. SASHA REGINA PHALANGES RESOFF Hot lavender bubble bath, Buddha Bar station on Pandora, glass of red wine, and deep, slow breathing = brand new me. CHRISTINE DOUBLEU Right after the first of the year, I do a three-hour spa day! Totally unplug and do not tell them I am a therapist. LORNA NICHOLSON-JOHNSON FROM TWITTER A nice restorative yin practice followed by a warm bath. More importantly, I exercise regularly to stay ahead of problems. @KATIEBEWORKS I practice what I preach: I get massage and exercise. I spend time outside in nature and count my blessings. @MASSEMASSAGE
