For more member benefits, visit ABMP.com © 2016 ABMP Item Their Strengths Their Weaknesses How Do I Compare? Professionalism Very professional and friendly. N/A Very similar in our approach and communication style. Printed Marketing Materials N/A No printed materials. Business cards, referral cards & informational brochures available. Paperwork New client forms were on her website. Easy to download in advance. Didn't allow any extra time the first session for review of forms. I could add my client forms to my website. Massage Excellent hands-on skills. Great depth of pressure. Hands-on portion of the session was only 50 minutes. I give 60 minutes of hands-on work every session. Rebooking Procedure She asked me to rebook after the session. N/A I do the same, but do not have an easy online scheduling option. Other - Bathroom Updated, professional, & clean bathroom. N/A Can declutter my client bathroom so it's neutral & professional. Two areas I need to improve to compete with this business. Two areas where I outshine the competition. Two ways I can highlight my advantages in my marketing. Online scheduling! It's time to start using it. It's so easy & convenient for clients. More variety available in appointment days & times. Promote my evening & weekend session times on my website & on social media. Monthly membership program. I will investigate whether this would work for my practice. I give a full 60 minutes of hands-on time for a 60-minute session. State that clients receive the full 60 minutes of hands-on time in my descriptions. Other Comments This analysis really made me realize that to stay competitive with other therapists in the area, I need to offer clients more convenience with online scheduling. I want to make some changes to my home office to create a more professional space. I'll also prioritize reorganizing my website so information is easier to find and excess content is removed.
