INSPIRATION & INSIGHT ABMP Assistant Editor | jed@abmp.com By Jed Heneberry Danielle Hendrix, Team USA, Massage Therapist Gold Medal MT After a two-year process of applying, interviewing, and training, Danielle Hendrix will soon realize her Olympic dream by working on Team USA at the Summer Games in London. On why she prefers Olympic athletes: They're not in it for the money; they're in it for love. It's a little truer I think. I really identify with that as a massage therapist. On finding out she made the team: When I opened the letter I just started crying. My husband thought something was wrong. On the possibility of seeing someone she worked on win a medal: We've all shared the ultimate goal of getting to the Olympics. To see someone win, knowing I had a little bit of a hand in it, literally, would be amazing. On how she is preparing for the games: I've started a training program: cardio, boot camp, and working with a personal trainer. I want to be in shape, because once I get there, it's 30 days of working 12 hours a day. Celebrate ABMP's 25th anniversary and you may win a refund on your membership. ABMP.com. 127 On what she's looking forward to the most: If I do one thing, I want to go to the aquatic center and touch the water. Being a swimmer myself, that would be one of the greatest days of my life.
