what's on the web BY LARA EVANS BRACCIANTE ABMP DEBUTS ONLINE EDUCATION CENTER In partnership with Human Kinetics, a leader in online education, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) has released interactive, on-demand, continuing education (CE) courses. Incorporating features to ensure accessibility, success, and affordability, online courses include: ON-DEMAND SERVICE Users can start courses when it's convenient for them, stop when they need, and come back to it at a later date. INTERACTIVE LEARNING The courses are interactive, making learning interesting and dynamic. REAL-TIME FEEDBACK A quiz following the course immediately assesses results, and a certifi cate of completion is immediately accessible. First Course Free for ABMP Members In addition to earning one CE hour, the "Introduction to Myofascial Massage and Online Learning" course guides participants in navigating the online format while developing skills in myofascial release techniques. This interactive course uses video, audio commentary, and learning activities to teach myofascial release skills. CE HOURS All courses are NCBTMB-approved, to meet CE requirements. DISCOUNTED AND FREE COURSES While all online classes are affordable, ABMP members receive substantial discounts. Furthermore, ABMP members receive their fi rst course free. COURSE CATALOG The existing library has been developed around topics specifi cally requested by massage therapists. While ABMP's intent is to continually expand the library of offerings, current options include: • Conduct High Impact Client Interviews. • Enrich Your Client's Relaxation Experience. • Establish and Maintain Client-Therapist Boundaries. • Learn and Market Safe Stone Massage. • Introduction to Myofascial Massage and Online Learning.
