Upcoming Topics FROM FACEBOOK As they are paying me, I ask, "Did we schedule you in the future? Let's do that now." BARBARA A. MILLER I always ask after the massage, while they are paying and "massage drunk" … it's hard to say no when you are feeling so good! SARA JESSEN BURDICK "So I'll see you in about 3–4 weeks, unless you are out of town or something …" MICHELLE ALEXANDER-BATAC After the session, I simply pull out my calendar and say, "Does four weeks from today work for you?" NAE WALSH During checkout: "Three weeks, then?" Insert applicable time. ORIGIN THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE FROM GOOGLE+ After the exit interview, on the way back to the lobby, I'll say something like, "If it's feasible, I'd like to see you again in X weeks. Then, we can build on what we were able to start today." This states how the client would benefi t from coming in again, but the magic word "feasible" puts the burden of allocating resources (time and money) on the client. MORGAN ROWANWAIF When my client comes out of the massage room, I fi rst ask, "How do you feel?" About 99 percent of them reply it's as if they are walking on a cloud. I have my calendar in hand and as soon as they make their payment, I tell them about my frequent massage club and suggest a specifi c date, usually two weeks out, for their next massage. Most of them book on the spot. VALECIA WEEKS PEARLAND, TEXAS For many of my clients, at the end of the session I simply pull out my calendar and say something like: "So is this time good for you next week?" or "Would you prefer the week after?" It seems most of the clients I get are looking for long-term massage care, not just a "birthday massage." JANIS PARKS MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS
