Think About Thinking,
and Then Take Action
C
Critical thinking is one of those
things that just about everyone
says we should do more of—or
do better. But few people have
a fully formed idea of what it
is, whether it can be taught,
and how it can be evaluated.
If you had to define critical
thinking, what would you say?
As I wrestle with this concept,
I find that critical thinking is
a lot like a tomato seed: The
harder I try to grasp it, the
further it squirts away from me.
You don't teach critical thinking. You
nurture it. —Sandy Fritz
