Q&A How did Pure Pro get its start? When I was in school learning massage therapy, my sensitive skin continually developed painful sores from the artifi cial fragrances and additives. While I soothed my clients, I irritated my own skin. I also found I needed lighter textures to provide precision massage work. I realized that if I wanted my clients to enjoy the benefi ts of high-quality, effective, and non-irritating products, I'd have to make them myself. I make each massage oil, arnica oil, massage lotion, and cream as pure, natural, and gentle as possible and nourishing to the skin. What tips do you have for therapists to help ward off the dry skin that comes as a result of stringent handwashing and sanitizing? Use a hand sanitizer with no extra ingredients like scents or coloring, and buy from a company you trust. When choosing a soap, avoid antibacterial soaps and products that contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), propylene glycol, triclosan, and any dyes or fragrances. Pure Pro Hand Sanitizer will meet the needs of massage therapists and bodyworkers who want a cleaner, safer product that won't harm their skin or body. Our Deep Tissue Massage Cream is great for intense restoration at night. How is Pure Pro's hand sanitizer formulated, and does it meet CDC and/or WHO criteria? Our sanitizer exceeds CDC criteria and matches the WHO formula with 80 percent alcohol. We use a natural alcohol derived from corn and a small amount of glycerin to make it less drying. We add a miniscule amount of purifi ed water and hydrogen peroxide to make it mix and stay together without separating. Ours is the same formula that has been used all over the world for Ebola and SARS pandemics. How do Pure Pro products help people with sensitive skin? After terrible experiences with skin irritation, I vowed to never use chemically derived, water dispersing agents; food-grade ingredients, such as canola oil; or artifi cial fragrances in my products. All of our products are made in the USA and are nut free, gluten free, and vegan. We don't use chemical dispersants, and we are cruelty free. Our Hypoallergenic Massage Lotion is so gentle it's perfect for oncology massage, geriatric massage, and ideal for fragile skin. Pure Pro Hypoallergenic Massage Lotion is used at top cancer hospitals in Boston, Maryland, New York City, Dublin, and beyond. Any new and exciting products on the horizon for Pure Pro?
