Do you consider what you do health care? If so, why? What makes your practice health care? Publication Date: May/June 2020 Have you brought insurance billing into your practice? What are the challenges and the benefi ts? Publication Date: Jul/Aug 2020 Email your responses to editor@abmp.com. Your submission can be as short as you'd like and up to 250 words. Upcoming Topics SPEAK YOUR MIND What steps do you take regarding client education? How do you keep "talking" to clients after they've left your table? FROM FACEBOOK I keep "talking" by giving a great massage and running a great business. My clients do the actual talking—to their friends and family about what a great experience they had! MARINA SMITH-HICKMAN I try to avoid information overload, unless they come from a background where they are able to understand a lot about the body. I try to keep them aware about the primary concern and teach them how to make changes in their everyday lives by making the information relatable so they can remember and apply it long after they leave. BRYAN MAJETTE I always explain what to expect after a massage based on the treatments they are getting. I tell them how much I enjoy hearing about the next-day results they experience and mention what we can do in our next session to further progress. Everyone comes back happy and ready for a treatment that's going to make a difference. 14 m a s s a g e & b o d y w o r k m a r c h / a p r i l 2 0 2 0
